iPhone Case Size Guide
Almost every iPhone needs its own case: even phones with the same screen size can have different bodies, buttons and cameras. Use the chart to see your iPhone's size, which other phones share its case, and where to shop the right fit.

How to check which iPhone you have
Open Settings > General > About. The model name is shown at the top. Screen size alone is not enough: the iPhone 16, 16e, 15, 14, 13 and XR all have 6.1-inch screens but need different cases.
Once you know your model, pick it from the chart above or shop all iPhone cases.
Will it fit?
Will my old iPhone case fit my new iPhone?
No. The iPhone 17 has a larger 6.3-inch display and a slightly bigger body than the 6.1-inch iPhone 16, so an iPhone 16 case is too small. Buy an iPhone 17 case.
No. An iPhone 17 case is made for the larger iPhone 17 body, so it will be loose on an iPhone 16, and the camera and button cutouts will not line up.
No. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a full-width camera plateau across the back, which a 16 Pro Max case cannot fit around.
No. The iPhone 17 Pro has a new full-width camera plateau and a different back design, so iPhone 16 Pro cases do not fit.
No. The iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display and a larger body than the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max, and it adds a Camera Control button.
No. The iPhone 16 Pro grew to 6.3 inches, so its case is larger than the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro, and the Camera Control cutout does not match.
No. The iPhone 16 has a vertical camera layout and a Camera Control button, while the iPhone 15 has a diagonal camera. The cutouts do not line up.
Not reliably. The two phones are close in size, but the iPhone 15 has different edges, a USB-C port and a slightly different camera. Buy a case made for your model.
Usually, yes. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 are nearly the same size, and an iPhone 14 case normally fits an iPhone 13.
Sometimes, but it can be tight. The iPhone 14 camera bump is slightly larger, so an iPhone 13 case may not sit flat around the camera. An iPhone 14 case is the safer buy.
No. The iPhone 13 is slightly thicker and has a diagonal camera, while the iPhone 12 camera is vertical.
No. The iPhone 16e has a single rear camera and no Camera Control button, and its body is shaped differently from the iPhone 16.
The iPhone 17e keeps the same outer design as the iPhone 16e, and many case makers sell one case listed for both. Check that the listing names the iPhone 17e.
No. The phones are almost the same size, but the iPhone 11 has a large square dual camera and the XR has a small single camera, so the cutouts do not match.
Yes. The iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation), iPhone 8 and iPhone 7 share the same body, so their cases are interchangeable.
Yes. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro have the same dimensions and share cases.
Yes. The iPhone X and iPhone XS have the same body and share cases.
